CBD stands for cannabidiol. This is a natural compound found in the leaves, stalks, and flowers of hemp, or Cannabis. Cannabidiol is a type of cannabinoid, which is a class of diverse molecular compounds found in a wide variety of plants. They are even produced within our own bodies! Cannabinoids interact with your endocannabinoid system, which runs throughout almost your entire body and influences vital functions in our bodies, such as hormone regulation, brain function, digestion, immune health, and much, much more.
But before we get too deep into science class, we will just sum it up for you like this. CBD is a natural compound found in the hemp plant. It is non-intoxicating, non-addictive, non-psychoactive and offers a wide array of excellent health-supportive benefits.
We are extremely proud of how we manufacture our CBD. We adhere to the most strict industry standards and we can confidently claim that our products contain the purest, top-quality CBD in the United States.
We could brag more here in our FAQs, but we actually created an entire page devoted to disclosing our manufacturing practices and standards. You can find that right here.
There’s a lot of confusion surrounding CBD and its legality. Thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill, hemp-derived CBD (along with hemp and a variety of other hemp products) is federally legal in all 50 states. In order to be compliant with this new bill, it is required that CBD products are derived from industrial hemp and contain less than 0.3 percent THC.
All of our products meet these standards. It is important to remember, however, that each individual state may have their own laws regarding the production, sale, and consumption of CBD. You should check the laws in your state of residence before purchasing any CBD products.
No. It is chemically impossible to become high from our products. Hemp-derived CBD contains 0.3% or less of the cannabinoid tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is the compound responsible for creating the high effect associated with marijuana.
What you will experience is relaxation and contentment. Some people also describe a release of tension in their muscles. This response is thanks to what’s known as The Entourage Effect.
The Entourage Effect is the synergistic action of all the compounds within full spectrum CBD oil working together within the body. Some of these compounds include cannabinoids, but also include terpenes, flavonoids, and fatty acids. You can only get the Entourage Effect when you choose full spectrum CBD oils or whole plant extracts.
For most people, this Entourage Effect produces a feeling of well-being, calm, and contentment. You’ll feel awesome but you definitely won’t be high.
The amount of CBD you should take depends on the product you’ve selected, the reason you’re taking CBD, and several other factors. First, we would recommend starting with the suggested daily dose given on the product you’ve chosen. From here, you may increase or decrease your amount until you feel the desired effect. It may take only a few days to experience results, or as long as several weeks. This is perfectly normal, so don’t get discouraged if it takes time. If you have additional questions you can always speak with your primary health care provider or contact our team.
CBD is remarkably safe. Studies have shown that CBD can be safely taken over long periods of time without any signs of toxicity, even in large doses. If you’re using common sense and following the dosage guidelines given on our packaging or as provided to you by a qualified health care professional, you are at no risk for overdosing on CBD.
This is actually incredibly difficult to answer because a lot of factors go into this. What type of CBD product is being used? Are you using CBD oil, gummies, or one of our facial creams? What potency did you choose? How often are you using it? Even your weight and metabolism can influence when you begin to experience the effects of CBD.
We recommend that you start with the suggested dose given on our packaging or provided by a doctor. Most people will begin to see results within 1-3 weeks. You can gradually increase your use until you see the desired results.
If you have specific questions you can always reach out to our team or your health care provider for more information.
High-quality CBD is actually incredibly safe and has very few side effects. Most of these side effects are minor. Reported side effects of CBD include:
If you experience any signs that you are having an allergic reaction to a product, such as difficulty breathing, rashes, or severe nausea or vomiting, discontinue use immediately and contact a health care professional. Like all other plants and substances, allergies can occur. While CBD allergies are very uncommon, many of our products contain other ingredients as well. Be sure to read the labels carefully if you have any known allergies.
Technically, industrial Hemp and Marijuana are the same plant, Cannabis. However, they have a radically different genetic profile.
Marijuana plants typically contain high levels of Tetrahydrocannabinol, better known as THC. It is THC that produces the psychotropic effects associated with marijuana use. Hemp, on the other hand, contains only 0.3% THC or less.
No. Hemp-derived CBD is federally legal in the United States. You do not need a medical marijuana card or doctor’s prescription to purchase CBD. However, we do advise you to check the laws of your state of residence before making a purchase.
It’s very unlikely that taking CBD (even daily) will trigger a positive on a drug test. This is because hemp-derived CBD contains 0.3% or less of THC, which is the cannabinoid being searched for in a drug test.
While unlikely, however, it is possible that you could get a false positive on a test if you’re taking large doses of CBD regularly. If this is a concern for you, we’d strongly recommend talking to your employer about it or checking with your doctor.
Store your CBD products somewhere cool, dry, and shaded where you will remember to use them daily. A pantry, cupboard, nightstand, or medicine cabinet are all common choices.
The average shelf life of most CBD products is two years. When in doubt, just look on your product packaging.
If your CBD product has an expiration date, it’ll be printed right where you can easily find it on your product packaging. If there is no expiration date printed on your package, then the product doesn’t have one.
We display the third-party testing results on each of our product pages. You can scan your QR code on your bottle or click here. This will take you to our COA verification page. Locate your batch number on your product and enter it into the page. It will generate the COA for your product.
